DR. CARSTEN BROCKMEYER

Dr. Carsten Brockmeyer studied biology in Göttingen, Germany, and he obtained his Ph.D. from Hannover Medical School in Hannover, Germany. His academic background is in cell biology, haematology /immunology and oncology. Dr. Brockmeyer was Postdoctoral Scientist at the Institute of Immunology, Ludwig Maximilian University, Munich, where he conducted research into autoimmune diseases and clinical transplantation. Dr. Brockmeyer held positions as Group Leader and Science Director at Baxter Deutschland GmbH, responsible for development and cGMP production of several monoclonal antibodies. He was appointed as General Manager of Hexal Biotech in 1999. In his current position at Sandoz, as Head of Global Project Management for Biopharmaceuticals, Dr. Brockmeyer manages the global development of a broad portfolio of important biopharmaceuticals. He has authored more than 100 scientific publications and is the holder of several registered patents. He is a member of the European Society of Immunology, the German Society for Bone Marrow and Blood Stem Cell Transplantation, and the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS).
