Dr. Carlo Durrer is the Chief Operations Officer of EstPharma / Deva Holding A.S. Before joining Deva in Turkey, Carlo was the Head of Quality Unit at Sandoz Gebze site near Istanbul, responsible for GMP Compliance, Quality Control, Product Transfers and Validations. Prior to his relocation to Istanbul in 2005, Carlo was the Technical Director of Shanghai Roche Pharmaceuticals in China. This included aseptic filling of antibiotics and biotech products and production of highly potent solid dosage forms. Before Shanghai, Carlo was the Global MES Director of Roche based in New Jersey, USA. Under his leadership, Roche developed the strategy for group-wide deployment of Manufacturing Execution Systems. Previously he was Technical Support Manager for Roche's affiliates and licensees in Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Asia. Carlo joined Roche in 1994 at Basel Production site, Switzerland. He has a Masters Degree in Pharmacy from the University of Basel and a Ph.D. from the Université de Paris-Sud, CNRS, France.
