Dr. Jean-Louis Prugnaud was awarded his Ph.D from the French University Paris Descartes in 1972. He is currently Head Pharmacist at University Hospital Saint-Antoine (APHP – Paris). He is also president of cellular and gene therapy commission for French Medicine Agency (Afssaps) from 2004 and member of MAA commission from 1994. He was president of biotechnology working group at French agency between 1993 and 2007. His 103 publications include 50 national and international articles and 53 oral or poster communications. He has presented 50 conferences included 15 international conferences. He is member of different national groups of Pharmacopoeia (vaccine, blood drugs and biological products) from 1983.  He is member of the French National Academia of Pharmacy from 2007. His field of competence is : evaluation of the pharmaceutical quality of biotechnology drugs, blood drug derivatives and vaccines; evaluation of the pharmaceutical quality of gene therapy and cellular therapy drugs; development of european and international recommendations for the registration of the drugs. Jean-Louis Prugnaud is furthermore member of the editorial board of the Journal de Pharmacie Clinique, treasurer of the French Society of Clinical Pharmacy, expert analyst and legal expert for the courts.
