Pharmacist, docteur ès Sciences Pharmaceutiques received from René Descartes University (1988) and a clinical pathology diplomas obtained from Pierre-et-Marie Curie University.
From 1976 to 1989, he was practicing clinical biology and pharmacology in different hospitals in Paris in parallel Dr Sofeir was a lecture in Pharmacology and Physiology at the Faculty of Pharmacy (Paris VI and XI).
Dr Sofeir moved to the pharmaceutical industry in 1989 first at Wyeth-Ayrest Europe and then Sanofi-Aventis where he had several senior positions in different areas and Departments within the Industry.
