Vinod P. Shah Ph.D. is a pharmaceutical consultant. Dr Shah is the Scientific Secretary, a member, and a Fellow of the Executive Council of International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP).Dr. Shah, a Senior Research Scientist for the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) retired in July 2005, after 30 years of service. During his tenure, he developed Regulatory Guidance for the Pharmaceutical Industry. He received several FDA Awards for Leadership Excellence, Team Excellence and Excellence in Communication, as well as the FDA Award of Merit, FDA Scientific Achievement Award and FDA Distinguished Career Service Award. Dr. Shah is an Adjunct Professor at University of Kentucky, Lexington KY, (2001-present). He has authored or co-authored over 210 scientific papers and is a co-editor of three books. Dr. Shah was President of The American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) in 2003. He is a recipient of an AAPS Distinguished Service Award, an AAPS Fellow, and serves on the Editorial Board of AAPS PharmSciTech.

Prof. Dr. Yılmaz Çapan
Prof. Dr. Yılmaz Çapan has graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Pharmacy in 1972. He has received his M.Sc. degree in Industrial Pharmaceutical Technology in 1976 and his M.Sc. degree in Biopharmaceutics in 1978 both at the University of Lille II, France. Prof. Çapan has taken his Ph.D. degree in Pharmaceutical Technology in 1978 at the University of Lille II, France. He has then returned to Hacettepe University Faculty of Pharmacy Department of Pharmaceutical Technology and received Associate professor position in 1985. He has become full professor of Pharmaceutical Technology in 1990 at the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology in Faculty of Pharmacy, Hacettepe University.
Prof. Çapan has served as Registration Main Commission member and Commission for BY/BE member at the Turkish Ministry of Health-Drug and Pharmacy General Directorate for several years. He is currently serving as Head of Department of Pharmaceutical Technology since February 2007 and president of FATUM Pharmaceutical Technology Research and Application Center in Hacettepe University since April 2007.
Prof. Çapan’s research interests include brain delivery with nanoparticles, brain drug targeting, bioavailability-bioequivalence, controlled release of oral drug delivery systems, tabletting, bioadhesion, GMP and quality assurance, peptide delivery from biodegradable microspheres. Prof. Çapan has been working as visiting scientist and visiting professor in University of Louis Pasteur in Strasbourg, France and University of Kentucky at Lexington, USA. He is also serving as Turkish delegate at the Commission for European Pharmacopeia in Strasbourg.
